Did you live during WWII? - Do you have a story from the Second World War to share?
- Did someone who you know live during WWII and share stories from their experiences in the war with you?
Without writing down the stories, the stories can become forgotten. Please submit your memory today. What did you, your friend, your family member, etc. experience during the Second World War? What was your experience in the Second World War? This can include military experiences, everyday experiences, specific stories, general descriptions of what you experienced. All stories are welcome. Who is Victoria and Why is She Collecting These Stories?
Victoria is looking to gather stories about what people experienced while the Second World War was happening and/or before or after the war. Victoria is a graduate student in European history. Her specialization is World War Two.
In order to make this project possible, your stories are needed. This project is a compilation.
The dictionary defines compilation as:
–noun 1. the act of compiling: the compilation of documents. 2. something compiled, as a reference book.

2. collection, assemblage, assortment.
Victoria is looking to hear / learn all of your stories and then compile them together. Once Victoria has the initial story that you submit, further questions can be asked based on the information that is provided.
Victoria has chosen to go about this project using the format where you share your story, (your experience from WWII) and once Victoria hears your story, then she will ask you questions based on what you have shared. Starting with initial stories (material) is the best way to begin with learning your stories. Questionnaires (follow up questions) will be sent (communicated to you) based on what you submitted initially.
The goal of this project is to gather stories from all over the world. All of these stories will then be a part of this compilation. The stories that YOU submit to this project will all be put together in a compilation. These stories will be grouped by category.
